Stephenson Motorsport

Another black cat moment for the Stephenson crew with a very unusual looking clutch failure. Despite the setback others chipped in with the R&R work only missing one race of the super tight schedule. Well done making your way through the field and the best of luck as you head over the border to take on Sandown first weekend in March !

Round 1 of the SA Circuit Excel Series is done and dusted!
First time back in the car and we qualified in 22nd with a time of 1:29.8. Not a horrific time considering the dramas we were battling with the car but still not happy with the position.
Race 1 - We got a good start and got up to 15th before the end of the first lap and the car felt good and had some pace! Unfortunately, the gods of ... See more

Well done Mitch, recovering a solid result on a stocker engine after a unlucky practice on Friday. As always it’s great to see the excel community get behind fellow competitors when the chips are down!

Round 1 of the Excel SA State Championship is all wrapped up. The start of the racing year didn’t go how we planned as after one lap on the Friday practice our engine blew up leaving us with no time for practice. Well done Fitzy on a strong overall performance. They had a tough battle throughout the field with some ups and downs. Both the car and the driving looked good !

What a weekend. We had our highs and lows. Car was good earlier this morning but we were underweight by 2kg’s so we got sent to the rear of the grid. From 32nd to 18th in just one race. In all of those 14 cars we passed we kept it clean with other cars.

Race two we made another 5 spots bringing us to 13th place and we maintained that for the third race.

The last race of the day we had a bad ... See more

GH Haulage Round 1 Mallala Points Table

Some awesome racing shown, from the front and through the whole field over Saturday!

There was some great door handle to door handle racing and in turn some unfortunate incidents, though overall it was a great kick off to the season ahead!

Many thanks to Susan Quigley for her input in compiling the points over the day for us.
